2 cupsFresh Grated Coconut (finely scraped)
1 tin (400g)Sweetened Condensed Milk
0.5 cupSugar
2 tbspPure Ghee
0.5 tspCardamom Powder
1 tspVanilla Extract
A few dropsPink or Green Food Colour

Method & Preparation

7 steps to perfection

    Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan or non-stick kadai over low flame.

    Add fresh grated coconut and sauté for 3-4 minutes without letting it brown.

  3. 3

    Pour in the condensed milk and sugar. Stir continuously on medium-low flame as the mixture thickens.

    Add cardamom powder, vanilla, and desired festive color drops.

  5. 5

    Cook until the mixture pulls away cleanly from the sides of the pan and forms a glossy mass.

    Transfer onto a ghee-greased flat tray or marble board. Flatten with a greased rolling pin to 1/2 inch thickness.

    Allow to cool slightly, then slice into festive diamond or square fudges.
